The most popular clothing is, without a doubt, jeans. They are worn by everyone - from small to large. How to decorate jeans with your own hands and give them new life? We will try to help you with an idea and a master class.

Many people have jeans in their closet that are tired of them - but you can change them and turn simple pants into a very interesting and individual model.

How to update old jeans? This can be done by embroidering them with satin stitch, cross stitch, or sequins. You can decorate with abrasions and small tears - this is now back in trend. We update old jeans and give them a second chance.

Of course, you won’t surprise anyone with embroidery these days. But if you decorate jeans with embroidery, and this embroidery is done tastefully, with your own hands, it is very popular and fashionable. If you look at any fashion show, especially the show of Dolce & Gabbana collections, there are so many embroidered, beautiful things! Before decorating old jeans, you need to think and plan your decor tastefully. For skilled needlewomen and just beginners, we recommend satin stitch embroidery and decoration with beads and sequins. Sequins and beads

Another decor with which you can decorate your boring jeans: sequins and beads.

It's up to you to decide what is more convenient for you. This way you can decorate not only jeans, but also a denim jacket. And one more tip: it’s better to do the applique on the sides of the jeans, on the pockets, or nearby. It is necessary to draw the outline of the drawing so as not to do unnecessary work.

For those who have never dealt with sequins, here is our short explanation. Sequins can be sewn either singly or in a row.

If you need to sew sequins in a row, use a stitch forward with the needle (Fig. a). We thread the sequin onto the needle and pierce the fabric. The stitch size should be equal to the size of the sequin itself. Next, we bring the needle to the front side at a distance equal again to the size of the sequin, and sew on the next one. And so we sew on as many details (sequins) as needed. It is better to secure the last one with beads. This pattern resembles fish scales (Fig. b)

You can sew on sequins and backstitch the needle. In this way we perform embroidery, as if layering pieces one on top of the other (Fig. d). In order to make voluminous embroidery, the pieces are layered with beads (Fig. e).

See how you can embroider a heart with beads and sequins.

And how cool an embroidered heart looks on jeans, and a large flower made from the same sequins looks great.

And this is how sequin decoration on a denim jacket looks.

Or another option for decorating a denim jacket with satin stitch embroidery and sequins with beads. First we do the embroidery on the fabric, then we sew the applique directly onto the denim.

Bead embroidery of Turkish cucumbers - paisley.

It happens that you get a stain on your jeans, or get caught somewhere and tear the fabric. It is for such cases that the application serves. You can make a single motif, or you can make an applique in several places, just don’t forget about symmetry! How to decorate jeans? A fairly common way to decorate jeans with your own hands is fabric appliqué. Fashionable applique – paisley, or Turkish cucumber. This is how children's jeans, and not only children's ones, are beautifully decorated.

For this decor, you need to put finishing fabric under the jeans and draw a cucumber in chalk. Next, along the chalk line, we sew a line in the shape of a cucumber using a machine or by hand. We cut out the cucumber from the wrong side close to our line. Trim off excess fabric. Next, we process the cut with a zigzag stitch on a sewing machine. We do another curly stitch by hand or by machine. If the applique is large, you can add 1-2 more curly lines.

How to decorate jeans with lace? Lace is always gentle and feminine. Things with lace speak about your individuality and subtle taste. Lace never goes out of fashion, making an applique or patch from lace is all we need. The lace can be narrow or wide, color: white, black, flesh-colored. If you know how to crochet, that's great. Then you can knit the motif, or tie the bottom of the jeans with your own hands - this is very popular in the summer season. You can also make a lace lapel at the bottom.

And these are diagrams and drawings that can be used to make satin stitch embroidery. It should be noted that if you are afraid that the floss threads may fade when washed, place them in a container of hot water before work. Then, during subsequent washing, nothing fades. Another option is to embroider with light threads in different colors.

Important! You need to wash jeans with embroidery, sequins, beads, and rhinestones by turning them inside out!

We have offered you several ways to beautifully update old, boring things at the top and bottom. We hope that our ideas will be useful to you.

TOTAL

Just 2 hours and a little diligence will transform boring jeans into a spectacular wardrobe item, transforming them beyond recognition!

Decorating jeans. To work you will need:

Step 1

Prepare the beads and make a plan for their placement on the pants. We used a piece of felt that prevents the pearls from rolling away. Decorations can be sewn on in two ways; in this work we will describe each of them in detail.

Step 2

1 way. Start sewing from the wrong side. Point the needle and thread to the front side and put on the bead, then send it to the wrong side again. Repeat this manipulation again. Then secure the thread with one stitch (from the wrong side), cut and tie the ends. Cut off the remaining tail. This method is best used for larger beads. The pearls should not be fixed too loosely, but also without excessive tension.

Method 2. We fix smaller beads several at a time in a row. Once you have threaded the thread through the ball and returned to the wrong side, move on to the next pearl. To do this, without breaking the thread, bring the needle to the front side at the location of the next bead and string it. And so on, 5-7 pieces each. Again, it is important to monitor the tension of the thread - it should not be too strong, while excessive freedom is also useless.

The attractiveness of such a motif lies in its complete improvisation - the sequence of arrangement of decorative elements is not regulated in any way and is not limited in any way.

As a result of the transformation, the jeans do not lose any of their functionality, acquiring unique features of individuality and style. The only thing I would like to note is that the product is now recommended to be washed by hand or by machine, but in a delicate mode and without spinning. They should dry naturally.

The easiest and fastest way to change denim beyond recognition. Forget everything we said about a sense of proportion, sculpt everything you could find in stores: labels, names of your favorite bands, cartoon characters, lips, lightning bolts, arrows and other emojis.

2. Lace

You can sew lace onto pockets or sleeves, or decorate the collar or back. The more chaotic your decor is, the more interesting it will be! The more difficult task is to remove the old back and replace it with lace. But keep in mind, this option is good on its own, so there is no need to add stripes, rhinestones and beads here.

3. Embroidery

If you’re too lazy to while away your evenings at the hoop yourself, you can turn to your beloved grandmother for help or go to the nearest second-hand store in the hope of finding something with decent embroidery there. Found it? Great, sew it on the back - it will look very stylish there.

4. Scuffs and holes

You need to use sharp scissors to make holes in a jacket or jeans, just don’t forget to place a metal or wooden board under the fabric so as not to touch the other side of the jacket.

5. Beads, studs, sequins and rhinestones

This is an item for those who love bright decor. All these delights are sold in any craft store. You can embroider the entire denim with mother-of-pearl beads, decorate the collar and areas above the pockets with studs, glue rhinestones, stones or spikes to the shoulders, and place an applique of beads and sequins on the back. Of course, not all at once, but one thing at a time.

6. Color and ombre

Change the color of jeans using good old white. If you can’t achieve a smooth transition, it doesn’t matter, chaotic streaks also look great. By the way, using bleach and a pin, you can apply even stripes to the fabric or make a design.

7. Patches

If you decide to decorate your jacket with patches, you don't have to cut it at all - you can sew pieces of fabric on top. There are also plenty of decor options here: neon, embroidery, a collage of old jeans and much more. One taboo: leopard.

8. Drawings

Don't limit yourself to the examples below. With the help of fabric markers, special paints and your wild imagination, you can create a real work of art from a denim jacket!

Cool

Inspired by the article about stripes, I was looking for interesting ways decorate old jeans(and I have a huge number of them), and I came across master classes from the Spanish youth brand Desigual. This is where the flight of fancy can be seen! On their official website there is a collection of Exotic Jeans, in which each pair of jeans is decorated by hand. This collection was inspired by the markets of India, where the senses explode with a mixture of spices, colors and textures.

1. So, to create these jeans you will need:

Scissors;

Pins;

Scraps of lace and houndstooth fabric;

Textile glue;

Sandpaper or fine grater.

We take regular classic jeans without any decoration.

Using a grater or sandpaper, make abrasions on the legs in the places where you want to create a ragged effect. You should rub vertically (with the jeans straight), in short jerks, pressing the grater tightly against the jeans. Thus, the top layer of denim will tear, and the threads of the bottom layer will fluff up enough.

Then glue the pieces of lace and black and white fabric into a houndstooth pattern using textile glue. For greater strength, you can also sew these patches to the jeans, leaving 1 cm from the edges.

You can also add a hem from a second pair of jeans by stitching it along the bottom - this way you get the effect of a fashionable double hem.

2. To create these jeans you will need:

Scissors;

Pins;

Thread and needle (or sewing machine);

Decorative braid or ribbon (sold on Amazon);

Decorative patches (also available on Amazon);

Textile glue;

Golden thread.

As in the first case, we take ordinary jeans without any decoration (this pair had small abrasions).

We attach a decorative braid or ribbon of your choice to the belt at the waist (here are several types of braid in the oriental style).

Then use textile glue to glue the decorative stripes to the jeans. Using gold thread, make stitches on the legs in the style of Japanese sashiko embroidery (even stitches with the needle forward).

3. Well, the third alteration is a denim jacket. You will need:

Scissors;

Pins;

Thread and needle (or sewing machine);

Decorative braid or ribbon;

Decorative buttons;

Textile glue;

Fabric marker;

Sleeves from other clothes.

We take a classic denim jacket without any decoration. Cut off the sleeves of the jacket, leaving 2 cm on each edge. Unravel the threads using tweezers and a pin to create a fringe, as in the photo. You will get a vest.

Using textile glue, glue pieces of different decorative tape onto the vest. You can make a drawing or embroidery on the back of the vest. Replace buttons with decorative buttons.

Finally, take the sleeves from an old sweater, sweatshirt, cardigan, etc. and sew them to the vest by hand or using a sewing machine.

In general, on the official website of Desigual you can see a lot of interesting things, decorated in the same way as described above. These are vests, jeans, jackets and even bags and shoes. So I recommend that needlewomen who have suitable material (denim) take a look there.

What else can you do with jeans with your own hands?

If you have artistic ability, you can draw something on them. For example, this girl depicted cherry blossoms on her boyfriend jeans.

You can decorate your jeans with plastic pearls.

Or make patches on jeans from fabric with sequins.

As you can see, there are many ways to remake denim clothes, and with imagination and the simplest skills, you can effortlessly make your jeans original and unique.

Today, famous designers show the public women's clothing, lavishly decorated with stones, beads, and rhinestones. They don't shy away from jeans with beads, including them in their collections. Celebrities adore such things, wearing them not only in front of cameras, but also in everyday life. Let's look at the versatility of this product.

Straight jeans (classic, tubes) are a wardrobe element that never loses its relevance. If such a product is decorated with beads, then it will look advantageous in any setting. At the peak of popularity are models with a bead pattern on one leg.

Jeans with beads in the boyfriend style, a trend in recent seasons, have a loose fit and laconic decor. In this outfit, you can safely go for a walk around the city or for a get-together with friends. Moreover, don’t hesitate to wear them on a romantic date with your loved one.

High-waisted jeans (skinny, flared), decorated with beads, will be an excellent basis for a universal look. Such clothes will help a woman out both on weekdays and on holidays. An idea for brave young ladies - the print can be large and even pretentious.

Mom jeans remain timeless. They combine a high waist and a loose fit. These jeans are made from thick blue material. If there are beads on the product, then the item automatically attracts the enthusiastic attention of passers-by.

A denim outfit embroidered with beads can be worn by both schoolgirls and housewives. For example, those with slender legs will want a tight-fitting pair of jeans with an ornate bead pattern all over the leg. Young ladies with a chic neckline should choose a model of pants with minimal decor.

Denim trousers with beads are not recommended for women of “Balzac age”, as well as ladies with “appetizing” shapes. Of course, there are exceptions to any ban. It all depends on the specific case, the style of the trousers, as well as the woman’s figure.

Bead locations

Beads, like other decorative elements, can be placed on any part of the pants. For example, at the bottom of jeans, along the seams, on pockets, on cuffs, on the belt. It is noteworthy that every woman can decorate her jeans herself. By approaching this issue responsibly, she will receive an exclusive product. These trousers, being an example of feminine elegance, will fit perfectly into any look.

  • You can embroider a beautiful design from beads on jeans with your own hands;
  • Pants with beads placed along the seams of the trousers look original;
  • When planning to sew beads on jeans, choose small fittings so that they are less deformed during wear;
  • If you are planning to decorate the gates with beads, then first mark with a pencil the location of this decor;
  • It is advisable to decorate high-waisted pants with a waistband. The main thing here is to choose the right shade of beads, which should be in harmony with the tone of the trouser fabric;
  • Please note that mother-of-pearl beads are trending this season. Pair white denim trousers with such charming accessories and you have an easy outfit for summer;
  • To create a spectacular look, you can “scatter” a small amount of large pearls over the entire surface of the trouser leg;
  • Lovers of informal looks can combine a beaded pattern with rhinestones, beads, metal chains, rivets, fur or feathers.

Beads can be combined with embroidery, appliqué, abrasions, and slits. A winning solution is to put decorative patches on the trousers. Then we carefully sew beads onto them. Please note that inserts may differ from the product in color and material (for example, leather, silk, lace).

Craft stores have everything you need to create a real masterpiece. If you choose good quality beads, they will retain their beauty for a long time.

Beads can be transparent, colored, or fluorescent. Today, beads of bright colors are popular: green, bright blue, scarlet, purple, crimson, orange, gold, silver, etc. They are designed to create a catchy and unforgettable look. A more creative option is to combine several shades. The print, made of colorless beads, will emphasize the sophistication and restraint of the classic look.

Note:

  • Pearl beads will soften the strict style of trousers;
  • Small beads will decorate jeans of a simple cut and make them more expressive;
  • Beads of different diameters will help you create the most unusual print.

Experiment, because the road to beauty is not easy. But if you follow it confidently, you can achieve amazing results. Use our tips and turn the most ordinary jeans into a piece of designer art.

Fashionable looks

This season, beading on denim trousers will become the main accent of any look.

Office - for a business look, it is advisable to choose accessories that match the color of the jeans. There shouldn't be much of it. Office jeans with beads are appropriate to wear with jackets, large blazers, turtlenecks, and plain knit cardigans.

Classic – classic lovers should pay attention to straight jeans with beads on the waistband or pockets. A basic blouse, as well as an elegant jacket, will suit them. A textured bag from a famous company and modest jewelry will complete the look.

Festive – a creative idea is to use beads together with rhinestones. Dressed in such a brilliant outfit, you can safely go to the holiday. Note that in this case you should choose a solid color top. And, of course, don’t forget about your evening bag.

Casual - when creating a casual look, designers recommend taking a closer look at boyfriends with an insert trimmed with small pearl beads. If they occupy a small area of the product, then the top can be more memorable and even flashy. This look goes well with shirts, blouses, and T-shirts.

Beach – light jeans with beads, a snow-white T-shirt, fashionable sunglasses, bronze tan – a light outfit for a vacation. White, beige or light blue jeans will go well with a white or bright top: tunic, T-shirt, top. A white jacket will be a win-win option for the evening.

Club - a hot trend this season - beads with a fluorescent effect. Jeans with such decor look rather restrained during the day, but as soon as they are exposed to ultraviolet rays, they begin to shimmer with a magical glow. As for the top, here you have to rely on your mood and imagination.

Versatile - high-waisted jeans, decorated with transparent or colored beaded stripes, are an excellent base for creating both a classic and formal look. For example, such a product with mother-of-pearl beads goes well with a bodysuit, bustier, short crop top, or voluminous T-shirt. It can be worn with a jacket and sweatshirt.

When choosing a “top” for jeans with beads, a girl should take her choice of shoes very seriously. If you want a glamorous outfit, then wear high heels. For a relaxed outfit, a “low move” is suitable. The ideal shoes for a formal setting are pumps or oxfords.

Wear jeans with beads carefully, matching them correctly with other clothes. Do not violate the integrity of the image.

So, jeans decorated with beads will quickly transform any outfit and make it unrecognizable. If it is not possible to purchase a ready-made embroidered model, then you can decorate your favorite pants with your own hands, turning them into a unique item.
